Victorville, CA – A male pedestrian suffered major injuries after he was struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon at an intersection in Victorville, authorities said.

The pedestrian accident occurred at about 3:22 p.m. on September 21, 2026, at the intersection of La Mesa Road and El Evado Road.

Responding crews found a white Tesla stopped in the westbound lanes of La Mesa Road after the collision, with damage to the front windshield.

The pedestrian was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. The Tesla driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Westbound La Mesa Road was closed during the investigation, causing a temporary traffic disruption in the area.

The cause of the Victorville pedestrian crash remains under investigation.
