Victorville, CA – Two drivers and a passenger were injured following a head-on collision involving two vehicles Tuesday afternoon at an intersection in Victorville, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at the intersection of El Evado Road and Cholame Road at about 1:50 p.m. on February 3, 2026, when emergency crews responded to a reported two-vehicle collision.

According to a witness, a gray Chevrolet Z71 Trail Boss pickup truck was traveling southbound on El Evado Road and crossed into oncoming traffic while attempting to pass other vehicles. The pickup then collided head-on with a black four-door Kia sedan that was traveling northbound.

A male passenger of the Kia sustained critical injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center. Firefighters used extrication tools to free the Kia driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle. The driver was also transported to a local hospital. The male driver of the pickup truck was taken to a hospital as well. No arrests were reported.

The cause of the crash has not been officially determined, and investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officers responded to the scene to provide medical aid, extricate the trapped driver, and secure the crash site.
