Vallejo, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Vallejo, according to a report by the Vallejo Police Department.
At around 1:09 a.m. December 14, authorities responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian collision on Sonoma Boulevard near Meadows Drive.
The VPD located an unresponsive adult male at the scene and determined that he was hit by a car. Officers performed life-saving measures on the victim until medics arrived.
Despite their efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver, identified as Morris Turner, 48, of American Canyon, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The pedestrian's identity was not immediately released. The investigation is ongoing.
