According to the report, a car traveling east on I-8 crashed into a big rig truck

San Diego, CA – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has a driver killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 8 in San Diego about two weeks ago as 27-year-old William Gonzalez from San Diego.
The grisly wreck occurred at around 1 a.m. on March 14 on the eastbound Interstate 8 near College Avenue.
Gonzalez was heading east near College Avenue when the Honda sedan he was driving collided with a fuel tanker truck and then struck a center-divider wall. Moments later, an SUV struck his car, causing it to become engulfed in flames.
Gonzalez died at the scene of the wreck.
An investigation is underway.

The wreck happened on I-8 near College Avenue shortly after 1 a.m.
According the report, a car traveling east on I-8 crashed into a big rig truck.
The car was then struck by at least one other vehicle.
The driver of the car that hit the big rig died in the incident after the car burst into flames.
There were no other injuries in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
