Mesa, AZ – The Mesa Police Department has identified one of the three people killed in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Mesa Monday morning as 42-year-old Troy Garlock.
The crash happened at Val Vista Drive and Southern Avenue at around 7:55 a.m., according to the Mesa Police Department.
A stolen Ford F-250 driven by Garlock was traveling northbound on Val Vista Drive when it drove into the median lane and collided with a Nissan Armada and a third vehicle.
Garlock and the driver of the Ford truck were declared deceased at the scene.
An 8-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl in the backseat of the Armada were taken to the hospital where the 8-year-old died.
The 6-year-old girl is being treated for her injuries.
The driver of the Sentra suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
An investigation is underway.
