Pomona, CA. – 20-year-old Sebastian Arredondo died in a fiery collision that happened early Saturday morning on a transition road in Pomona, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported.
The incident took place around 4:05 a.m. on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway to the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway transition road.
According to investigators, Arredondo was driving his car when he crashed into the center divider wall and veered across all lanes to the right shoulder.
The car struck a tree, then caught fire.
Arredondo was pronounced dead at the scene. His cause of death was inhalation of combustion products and thermal injuries.

Pacoima, CA. – One person died in a fiery collision that happened early Saturday morning in Pacoima, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 3:17 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway transition road to the southbound Highway 170.
A black Honda Accord reportedly hit the center divider wall, went across all traffic lanes, and slammed into a tree on the right shoulder.
The vehicle ended up in a ditch, where it caught fire. The flames also spread and burned the tree.
One person died in the accident.
The transition road was shut down for an extended period following the collision.
