Montebello, CA – A woman was killed, and a man was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision on the 60 Freeway in Montebello on Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway and Atlantic Boulevard at around 10:42 p.m. on November 12.
Responding crews arrived at the scene and located an orange Dodge Charger and a Nissan SUV. The manner in which they collided was not immediately established.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
The female driver of the SUV was declared dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics rushed the male motorist to the hospital in unknown condition.
The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed the eastbound freeway for several hours during the on-scene investigation.
