Sun Valley, CA. – 23-year-old Javier Gutierrez was killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday evening in Sun Valley, the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner reported.
The wreck occurred around 6:55 p.m. in the 6700 block of Lankershim Boulevard north of the Golden State (5) Freeway.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Gutierrez was traveling north on Lankershim Boulevard when he collided with a car driven south on Lankershim by a 36-year-old driver.
Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.

Los Angeles, CA. – One person was killed in a violent car crash on Tuesday evening in Sun Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7 p.m. in the 8700 block of Lankershim Boulevard, near the 5 Freeway.
A silver two-door coupe traveling northbound on Lankershim Boulevard when it crashed into a large box truck.
The impact of the collision caused the coupe to crash into a pickup truck parked at the curb. The box truck also crashed into several other parked vehicles.
One person was killed in the accident.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
