, CA – The County Coroner's Office has identified a male pedestrian killed in a Friday evening crash on in Adelanto as Richard Metcalf, 61, of .

According to the Victorville Police Department, the wreck happened on State Route 395 at Cactus Road at around 7:20 p.m. January 17.

 Metcalf was in the number two northbound lanes of the highway when for unknown reasons he was struck by a white Cadillac Escalade.

Metcalf was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.

Adelanto, CA – A male pedestrian was killed in a crash Friday evening on Highway 395 in Adelanto.

The Victorville Police Department received reports regarding the accident at around 7:20 p.m. January 17 on State Route 395 at Cactus Road.

Reportedly, a Cadillac Escalade struck a pedestrian, who was in the number two northbound lane of the highway.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
