A preliminary investigation revealed a silver Ford Focus driver was traveling west on Cactus Road when it attempted to turn left onto the southbound lanes of 87th Avenue and collided with a 2013 GMC Sierra.
Peoria, AZ – The Peoria Police Department has identified two elderly victims killed in a Wednesday morning crash near 87th Avenue in Peoria as 86-year-old Marjorie Kussrow and 90-year-old Dale Kussrow, both Peoria residents.
A preliminary investigation revealed a silver Ford Focus driver was traveling west on Cactus Road when it attempted to turn left onto the southbound lanes of 87th Avenue and collided with a 2013 GMC Sierra.
The driver of the Focus, Marjorie suffered life-threatening injuries and died at a hospital. Her husband, Dale, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the GMC Sierra sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Speed and impairment were suspected to be factors in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
