Bakersfield, CA – The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the couples killed in a suspected DUI crash at an intersection in Bakersfield Sunday afternoon.

A woman was driving an Uber driver taking three passengers, including the couple, home when they were hit by a suspected DUI driver.
Max was pronounced dead at the scene while Desiree was taken to Kern Medical where she later died.
The driver of the other involved vehicle, identified as a woman, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Police said speed and alcohol impairment are believed to be factors in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
