, CA. – The Department of Medical Examiner identified one of the two people who died when their car crashed into a parked big rig in Sun Valley as 51-year-old Aris Sanchez Fonseca.

The double fatal collision occurred around 12:31 a.m. Thursday in the 13300 block of West Roscoe Boulevard near Glenoaks Boulevard.

Fonseca and one other person were in a sedan that, for an unknown reason, slammed into a semi- parked in the area.

Fonseca and the other occupant were trapped inside the wreckage.

Los Angeles firefighters responded to the scene and pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

The report did not mention Fonseca's city of residence and if he was the driver or a passenger.

The name of the second victim will be released when authorities notify their next of kin.

Sun Valley, CA. – Two people died when a sedan crashed into a parked semi-truck early Thursday morning in Sun Valley, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 13300 block of West Roscoe Boulevard at Glenoaks Boulevard.

A sedan slammed into a semi-truck parked in the area, trapping two people inside.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and freed the occupants.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
