San Leandro, CA — At least one person suffered major injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 580 in San Leandro on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on westbound I-580 just east of the Fairmont Drive off-ramp at about 2:24 p.m. on November 22 and involved a white sedan and a silver Subaru Crosstrek.
CHP reports show that the sedan collided with the center divider, while the Subaru was left blocking the No. 2 lane. The impact affected multiple lanes, with lanes 1 through 3 initially blocked as emergency crews responded.
At least one person suffered a leg injury, with a physical therapist on scene informing authorities of the victim's condition. No arrests were reported.
Fire personnel responded shortly after the crash, and all lanes were cleared by 3:08 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
