
Tucson, AZ.– A mother and her 5-year-old daughter were injured when they were struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Tucson on Wednesday morning, according to a report by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident happened at Sandario and Picture Rocks roads on Wednesday, November 26.
According to PCSD, the 46-year-old woman and her daughter were attempting to cross the intersection when they were hit by a car. The victims were transported to a hospital with major injuries and were expected to survive.
The driver remained at the scene and was cited for causing serious injury by moving violation. Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The roadway was shut down as authorities investigated the incident. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
