South LA, CA.- A tow truck driver was hit and killed by a vehicle in South Los Angeles early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at around 1:30 a.m. October 7, on the 110 Freeway, south of Florence Avenue.
The tow truck driver was helping another person when a passing vehicle struck them on the right shoulder of the southbound freeway.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver who struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene.
The CHP is working to determine the cause of the accident.
