Los Angeles, CA. – Authorities have identified the woman struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night in an unincorporated area bordering Compton as 68-year-old Georgia Moore.
CHP said the crash occurred around 7:23 p.m. at East 139th Street and Avalon Boulevard in West Rancho Dominguez.
Investigators said Moore was hit by a white sedan while walking in the area.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Los Angeles, CA. – One person died in a collision involving a pedestrian that happened Friday evening in Los Angeles' West Rancho Dominguez area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 7:22 p.m. near East 139th Street and Avalon Boulevard.
A white 4-door Mazda 3 reportedly hit a pedestrian and then continued and collided with a truck.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after the accident.
One person was killed in the accident.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
