The fatal crash occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on October 30 at East Second Street near Euclid Avenue.

Tucson, AZ – Two university students were killed and another person was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident on Thursday night in Tucson, according to Tucson police.
Authorities identified the deceased as Sophia Akimi, 21, and Josiah Santos, 22.
The fatal crash occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on October 30 at East Second Street near Euclid Avenue.
Police said a 2019 Porsche Boxster driven by Louis Artal, 19, was northbound on Euclid Avenue when it struck three pedestrians in a marked crosswalk at East Second Street.
Akimi and Santos died at the scene, while the third pedestrian sustained critical injuries.
The report said Artal was driving at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
Artal initially fled the scene but reported to Tucson Police on Friday morning.
Police determined impairment, speeding, and failure to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk were the major contributing factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
