Authorities reported that an 82-year-old man was driving a Toyota Tundra northbound on U.S. Highway 101 when he drifted across the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming Subaru Crosstek.

Seaside, OR – Two people were injured in a head-on crash that happened near Seaside in Clatsop County on Saturday, according to a report by the Oregon State Police.
The wreck happened on U.S. Highway 101 near milepost 24 on Saturday, July 25.
Authorities reported that an 82-year-old man was driving a Toyota Tundra northbound on U.S. Highway 101 when he drifted across the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming Subaru Crosstek.
The operator of the Toyota, identified as Dwight Matson, 82, was transported by ambulance to Providence Seaside Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The other driver, Mary Garvey, 64, had major injuries and was flown to Oregon Health & Science University.
The Oregon State Police is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
