Santa Ana, CA – At least one person died and several others were injured in a traffic collision involving a Caltrans vehicle that happened late Thursday night in Santa Ana.
According to the California Highway Patrol logs, the wreck occurred around 10:42 p.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway, just north of the MacArthur Boulevard off-ramp.
A white SUV collided with a Caltrans work vehicle at the scene under unclear circumstances. The SUV was reportedly traveling at high speeds prior to the crash.
The report said at least one person died in the collision.
Four others were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
CHP is investigating the accident.
