Preliminary reports indicate that a BMW sedan was heading north on Broad Street when it tried to turn left onto Sweeney Lane and crashed with a Subaru Outback traveling south on Broad Street

San Luis Obispo, CA – A driver was injured in a crash involving two vehicles at an intersection in San Luis Obispo on Monday morning.
At about 8:06 a.m. May 4, the San Luis Obispo Police Department responded to reports of a collision in the area of Broad Street and Sweeney Lane.
Preliminary reports indicate that a BMW sedan was heading north on Broad Street when it tried to turn left onto Sweeney Lane and crashed with a Subaru Outback traveling south on Broad Street.
The force of the collision caused the Subaru to roll over and it came to a rest on its roof.
The SLOPD officers and emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the collision.
The driver of the Subaru sustained minor injuries in the incident and was transported by medics to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported in the collision. The identities of the involved drivers were not immediately released.
The Subaru had major damage in the wreck while the BMW sustained minor damage. It’s unclear whether the vehicles were towed from the scene.
Police reported that impairment was not believed to have factored in the accident and no arrests were made.
