The SDPD reported that an 80-year-old woman was driving a white 2015 Honda Civic north on Jackson Drive when she failed to stop for a red light and crashed into a gray Kia Sorento traveling eastbound on Navajo Road.

San Diego, CA – An elderly woman was taken to a hospital after a crash between two vehicles in the San Carlos neighborhood of San Diego on Thursday morning.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident took place at around 7:48 a.m. in the area of Jackson Drive and Navajo Road.
The SDPD reported that an 80-year-old woman was driving a white 2015 Honda Civic north on Jackson Drive when she failed to stop for a red light and crashed into a gray Kia Sorento traveling eastbound on Navajo Road.
The elderly driver was taken to a hospital with multiple injuries, including a displaced hip, a fractured shinbone and a fractured calf bone.
The driver of the Kia, a 36-year-old, was not injured and remained at the scene.
Police reported that impairment was not likely a factor in the accident.
