San Diego, CA – The authorities have released the name of a teen motorcyclist who died after their motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Interstate 805 in San Diego on Thursday evening.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner identified the deceased rider as Alexander Michael Charmoli, an 18-year-old from Apache Junction, Arizona.
The deadly collision happened at about 4:31 p.m. on March 19, 2026, on southbound Interstate 805, north of Eastgate Mall.
Investigators said Charmoli was ejected from a motorcycle that collided with a sedan.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, and the responding paramedics provided lifesaving measures to Charmoli while transporting him to the hospital.
Unfortunately, Charmoli succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla at about 5:15 p.m. the same day.
