San Bernardino County, CA – A Saturday afternoon crash that happened near Baker in San Bernardino County claimed the life of a 35-year-old man, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was first reported at around 1:47 p.m. January 17, on Highway 247, near Nandin Road.
According to the authorities, a Mack Anthem truck pulling a dry bulk tank trailer was traveling northbound on Highway 247 when it collided with a pedestrian. Details on the events leading up to the accident were not immediately available.
The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital, where he was soon after declared deceased. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased pedestrian as Anthony Jackson, 35, of Apple Valley.
The driver of the truck, a 35-year-old Apple Valley man, was unhurt and remained at the scene of the accident.
