San Bernardino, CA – A was killed in a accident on I-215 South in San Bernardino early Monday morning, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department (SBSO).

The crash occurred at approximately 5:23 AM on December 1, 2025, on the southbound lanes of I-215 near Inland Center Drive.

Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and walking southbound in the center divider area when they were struck by a black Ford Bronco.

Authorities say the vehicle involved was traveling southbound when the collision occurred. The exact circumstances of the pedestrian's movements are under investigation. SBSO and responding units worked quickly to secure the scene and provide updates to the California Highway Patrol.

Emergency responders, including SBSO units and AMR paramedics, arrived promptly. The victim, a female approximately 35 years old, was transported by ambulance to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been reported, and the investigation is ongoing.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officials are examining factors such as pedestrian visibility, roadway conditions, and driver actions to determine what led to the fatal collision.
