San Luis Obispo, CA. — A motorcyclist was critically injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on crash with a vehicle in Cayucos, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported around 3:25 p.m. on Old Creek Road near Whale Rock Reservoir.
A silver Toyota sedan and at least one motorcycle were involved in a head-on collision.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and provided emergency medical aid before taking the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
Both lanes of Old Creek Road were temporarily closed while crews cleared debris.
The sedan and two damaged motorcycles were towed away from the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
