Police reported that Peña was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn

Surprise, AZ.– The motorcyclist who was killed in a crash with a vehicle in Surprise on Friday afternoon has been identified as Richard Peña, 20, according to the Surprise Police Department.
The accident happened just before 1 p.m. August 29, near Bell and Dysart roads.
Police reported that Peña was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn.
The 80-year-old woman driving the vehicle failed to yield to the biker while making the turn.
Peña was rushed to a hospital with major injuries and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The Surprise Police Department is investigating the crash.
