According to the authorities, Hultman was riding a bicycle westbound on Bloss Avenue when he was struck from behind by a 2015 Infiniti Q50 driven by a 16-year-old Stevenson boy
Merced, CA – The bicyclist who was killed in an accident earlier this month in Merced County has been identified as Richard Hultman, 60, of Hilmar, according to the Merced County Sheriff Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Bloss Avenue near Golf Link Road at around 11:20 p.m. September 11.
According to the authorities, Hultman was riding a bicycle westbound on Bloss Avenue when he was struck from behind by a 2015 Infiniti Q50 driven by a 16-year-old Stevenson boy.
Hultman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
