Initial CHP logs indicate a white Jeep and a dark-colored sedan were involved in the crash. Calls from witnesses reported car parts and debris in the lanes shortly after CHP dispatchers first logged the incident.
CHP officials confirmed that two vehicles collided on the roadway, with one vehicle reportedly ending up on an embankment.
