Preliminary reports indicate the crash involved a silver Chevrolet truck and a Honda SUV. Authorities said the vehicles collided in the intersection, leaving both vehicles stopped in the roadway. One of the vehicles was also reported to be leaking fluids following the impact.
According to CHP logs, the driver of the Honda reportedly told authorities that the truck ran a red light before striking the SUV. Both occupants involved in the collision sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene to assist the injured victims and secure the area. Authorities also requested equipment to help manage the crash scene while crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles.
