Phoenix, AZ – A pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by a vehicle near an intersection in Phoenix on Friday afternoon, according to a report by the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of 27th Avenue and Camelback Road on Friday, July 24.
According to investigators, a car was traveling southbound at the intersection when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway. It’s unclear whether the victim was in a crosswalk when the incident happened.
Emergency medical personnel immediately responded to the scene and the pedestrian was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
The involved motorist was uninjured and stayed at the scene. The names of the driver and the pedestrian were not immediately released by the authorities.
