Preliminary reports indicate that a car collided with a motorcycle near the intersection after the car failed to yield to the rider
Phoenix, AZ – A 22-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle collision in Phoenix on Friday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
At about 4:30 p.m. February 27, authorities responded to reports of a crash near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive.
Preliminary reports indicate that a car collided with a motorcycle near the intersection after the car failed to yield to the rider. Authorities are still working to ascertain what led up to the accident but it’s believed that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Phoenix police, as well as emergency crews, arrived at the scene shortly after and the rider was rushed to a hospital.
The victim was later confirmed deceased at the hospital. He has since been identified as Jose Solorzano Magallon, 22.
The driver of the car was at the scene when authorities arrived and reportedly cooperated with the investigators. There were no reports of any charges filed in connection with the incident.
The Phoenix Police Department is still investigating the cause of the deadly motorcycle accident.
