Phoenix, AZ – A man and a woman were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash in east Phoenix on Tuesday evening, according to Phoenix Fire officials.
The collision occurred at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday near 44th and Bellevue streets, just south of McDowell Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that three vehicles were involved in the crash. The authorities have not yet released details regarding how the accident occurred or the direction of travel of the vehicles.
Phoenix police said a woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. A man was also transported to a hospital in stable condition. Two other people were evaluated by firefighters at the scene but declined transportation to a hospital.
Phoenix Fire personnel and other emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical aid to those involved in the crash.
