Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Train in Redwood City

Redwood City, Calif. – A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a Caltrain in Redwood City, according to a CHP report.

According to Caltrain, The crash took place at about 2:55 p.m. when a southbound train #644 struck a pedestrian near Brewster Avenue.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one on the train was injured.

The tracks were shut down for more than half an hour.

Another train arrived at the scene at about 3:46 p.m. to pick up 149 passengers who were in the first locomotive.

The crash remains under investigation.
