Redwood City, CA.- The Redwood City Police Department is investigating an incident where a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in the city early Monday morning.
At around 12:11 a.m. September 22, police responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Woodside Road and Veterans Boulevard.
Police reported that a vehicle was traveling east on Woodside Road when it struck a pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the road.
The victim was found unconscious at the scene by the officers, who immediately began performing CPR on the victim.
The victim was then rushed to Stanford Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
She was only identified as a 32-year-old woman.
The driver was determined not to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The Redwood City Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
