Okanogan County, WA– One person was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in Okanogan County on Saturday evening, according to Washington State Patrol.
The crash was first reported at around 7:11 p.m. November 1 on State Route 97 near milepost 265.
A pedestrian was walking in the northbound side of SR 97 when a car struck them.
It's unclear why the pedestrian was in the roadway.
Two other vehicles also hit the pedestrian then left the scene.
The driver involved in the initial crash stopped on the shoulder SR 97.
The pedestrian, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
According to WSP, drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
