Tempe, AZ.- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Friday morning in Tempe, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident was reported just before 1 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Ray and Warner roads.
According to the report, a pedestrian was walking on the westbound side of the freeway when they were hit by a vehicle.
The unidentified pedestrain died at the scene.
The crash caused the closure of westbound I-10 as authorities investigated the incident.
The crash remained under investigation.
