Tempe, AZ.- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a hit-and-run driver in Tempe early Sunday morning, according to the Tempe Police Department.
The accident took place on Lemon Street and Rural Road at about 1:30 a.m.
A Waymo was reportedly yielding to a pedestrian while making a right turn at the intersection when it was rear-ended by the motorcyclist.
Another vehicle then struck the motorcyclist and fled the scene.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at a hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
There was no description of the vehicle or driver who fled the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
