Phoenix, AZ.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident happened on 24th Street and McDowell Road just before midnight on Thursday, August 14.
A man was reportedly walking across the roadway against the light when he was hit by a vehicle.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver left the scene after the crash but returned shortly after.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The accident is under investigation.
