The WSP reported that a driver in a smaller car allegedly fell asleep on the wheel, drifted across the centerline, and sideswiped a construction truck.

Orondo, WA – A 19-year-old man was injured in a car accident that took place near Orondo on Wednesday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reported.
At around 12:45 p.m. August 5, authorities responded to reports of a collision on US Highways 2 and 97.
The WSP reported that a driver in a smaller car allegedly fell asleep on the wheel, drifted across the centerline, and sideswiped a construction truck.
The driver of the car, identified as Noah Fogelstrom, 19, of Entiat, was treated for minor injuries following the accident.
The operator of the construction vehicle, Shebbley Weddle, 62, of Rochester, was not hurt.
According to the authorities, the drivers were riding alone at the time of the accident and both wore their seatbelts.
Impairment was not suspected to have played any role in the incident. However, Fogelstrom was charged with second-degree negligent driving.
The WSP is investigating the incident.
