Sherman Oaks, CA – One person was killed and two others hospitalized after a Tuesday morning traffic crash, involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 405 in Sherman Oaks.
The California Highway Patrol officers responded at 4:06 a.m. Tuesday to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway near the Valley Vista Boulevard exit regarding the mishap.
Multiple vehicles, including one driving wrong-way were involved in the crash. The circumstances surrounding the mishap were not immediately established.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Another person declined medical treatment and was released on scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately released.
