, CA. – 72-year-old Margaret Jackson was identified as the woman who died in a traffic collision that happened Friday evening in Westwood.

Police officers and firefighters were dispatched to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard after the crash that happened around 6:45 p.m.

The responders found Jackson trapped inside a car in need of extrication.

The firefighters pronounced Jackson dead at the scene.

An 80-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man were hospitalized in critical condition, while a 60-year-old woman was also hospitalized in fair condition.

A dog died in the collision, and another ran from the scene but was later found.

The cause of the multi-vehicle collision is being investigated.

Los Angeles, CA – One person was killed and two others critically injured in a Friday evening multi-vehicle collision on in Westwood.

The grisly wreck was reported on the northbound lanes of 405 Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard at around 6:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol

The police said several vehicles were located at the crash site. The manner in which they collided was not immediately established.

One person was killed in the wreck and two others were hospitalized in critical condition.
