According to the OSP, Jerid William Gunter, 47, of Medford, was driving a Nissan Frontier pickup eastbound on Highway 140 when he struck Gomez in the roadway
Central Point, OR.- Naomi Hope Gomez, 39, of Glendale, was hit and killed by a vehicle in Central Point on Friday morning, according to the Oregon State Police.
The incident took place on Highway 140 near Blackwell Road at about 6 a.m. on March 7.
According to the OSP, Jerid William Gunter, 47, of Medford, was driving a Nissan Frontier pickup eastbound on Highway 140 when he struck Gomez in the roadway.
Gomez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There was poor lighting in the area where the accident occurred, police reported.
An investigation into the deadly accident is ongoing.
