Phoenix, AZ.- A woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in Phoenix on Sunday night, according to a report by the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident occurred near I-17 and Glendale Avenue at about 11 p.m. August 17.
Police and firefighters responded to reports of a woman down in the roadway after bring hit by a vehicle.
The Phoenix Fire Department attempted life-saving measures on the pedestrian but she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver and vehicle involved in the accident were later located by the authorities.
The area near the scene was shut down for several hours as authorities investigated the incident.
