Sonoma, CA – One person was injured following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on State Route 37 in Sonoma on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred around 7:42 a.m. on westbound SR-37 just east of Skaggs Island Road.
According to CHP logs, a motorcycle and another vehicle collided, sending the motorcycle approximately 30 feet down an embankment. Emergency personnel responded and shut down both directions of the highway to allow an air ambulance to land.
The motorcyclist reportedly suffered a possible left rib fracture and had difficulty breathing. The injuries were described as serious.
Tow services were requested for the involved vehicles. No further information about additional occupants or the cause of the crash was immediately available.
All lanes were reopened by 9:09 a.m. after an extended closure.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
