Yuma, AZ.- Authorities are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist injured in Yuma on Friday evening.
According to the Yuma Police Department, the wreck occurred on E. 32nd Street and S. Fortuna Avenue at around 7:05 p.m. October 3.
A man was riding a black Honda CBR600RR west on 32nd Street when he crashed into a silver Nissan Sentra that was making a lane change.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Onvida Health, before being flown to a hospital in Phoenix.
It's unclear whether the 46-year-old man driving the car was injured.
The police reported that the motorcyclist's speed is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The Yuma Police Department is investigating the crash.
