Two vehicles were involved in the accident, prompting multiple traffic lane closures
Hayward, Calif. – Minor injuries were reported in a traffic collision that happened Friday evening on a freeway in Hayward, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision occurred just after 6 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880, just south of the W Winton Avenue off-ramp.
A gray Toyota Corolla and another car were involved in the accident.
CHP officers and Alameda County firefighters responded to the scene.
Minor injuries were sustained in the crash. It was unclear if anyone was taken to the hospital.
All lanes except the express lane were briefly shut down following the collision. All lanes were reopened around 6:45 p.m.
