Phoenix, AZ– The pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix on Friday morning has been identified as Miguel Alteres, 32, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The crash took place near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road at around 6 a.m. on Friday, October 24.
Alteres was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle believed to be a Jeep Cherokee.
The driver reportedly stopped briefly and exited the vehicle, then got back in and fled the area.
Police said Alteres died of his injuries at the scene.
A suspect, identified as Michelle Guzman-Garcia, 24, was arrested in connection with the accident. She faces charges of felony hit-and-run.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the accident.
