Phoenix, AZ – A 40-year-old man was killed Thursday night in a pedestrian accident in west Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The deadly accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on September 25 on 91st Avenue near Highland Avenue.
Police said Michael Cathcart was crossing the street midblock when he was struck by a vehicle.
Cathcart was killed in the accident.
The involved driver fled the scene but later contacted police after learning about the severity of the accident. They were questioned and released.
Impairment was not a factor in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
