Martin Ramirez Jr., 45, of Los Angeles, and Nicholas Howell, 46, of Huntington Beach, were killed in the collision that occurred on Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue just before 8:27 p.m. October 9.

Huntington Beach, CA – The two people who died in a crash between a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Huntington Beach on Thursday night have been identified.
Martin Ramirez Jr., 45, of Los Angeles, and Nicholas Howell, 46, of Huntington Beach, were killed in the collision that occurred on Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue just before 8:27 p.m. October 9.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, Ramirez was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Beach Boulevard when he struck Howell, who was walking across the road outside of the crosswalk.
Both Ramirez and Howell were pronounced deceased at the scene.
It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
The Huntington Beach Police Department is handling the investigation.
