Tucson, AZ – The Pima County Medical Examiner's office has identified 81-year-old Martha Saldivar as an elderly woman killed in a crash at an intersection in Tucson Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Tucson Police, the traffic wreck was reported at around 3 p.m. January 1 at Mark and Valencia Roads.

Saldivar was driving west on West Valencia Road when she veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a vehicle at South Mark Road.

Saldivar initially declined medical treatment at the crash scene but eventually was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

Two people in the other vehicle also were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

More information about the crash was not provided.

The Tucson Police is investigating the mishap.
